Message

During undergraduate, master, and doctoral studies, I have consistently analyzed the phenomenon of uniparental genome elimination (chromosome elimination) in plant hybrid cells using cytogenetic methods. Chromosome elimination is a very universal phenomenon in living organisms, observed in hybrid cells of various species. However, the mechanism remains to be elucidated. I would like to study chromosome elimination phenomenon in various plants, clarify the mechanism of chromosome elimination. I will control the chromosome elimination to create hybrid plants that have never existed before in this planet.

私は、学部、修士、博士課程で一貫して、植物の雑種細胞でおこる、片親ゲノムの脱落現象(染色体脱落現象)を細胞遺伝学的手法で解析してきました。

染色体脱落現象は様々な生物種の雑種細胞で観察される生物においては、非常に普遍的な現象です。しかし、メカニズムは解き明かされていません。

私は、この染色体脱落現象を様々な植物で研究し、染色体脱落機構を明らかにし、コントロールする事により、今までこの世に無かった雑種植物を創りたいと思っています。
